About Value Stream Analysis

After mapping the current process as found when conducting a process walk, value stream analysis completes the understanding of what the process can currently achieve. It identifies the bottleneck, determines lead time, value added time, takt and other key indicators. Based on this understanding the team can start to identify improvements.

Understand the value stream

Value stream analysis produces a value stream map with key indicators. This map usually exists on brown paper and will be obsolete once the improved process is implemented.
